I’ve been following Dwayne Greene’s case, and it’s one of those tragedies that just sticks with you. It’s disturbing how someone could be killed so brutally in their own home, a place where they should have felt safe. I can’t help but think about his family—especially given his connection to Bishop Charles Ellis—and what they must still be going through after all these years without answers. It feels like we hear too often about cases in Detroit just going cold. I admire the efforts of the Cold Case Unit with their push for newer technological approaches like DNA analysis, but it’s beyond frustrating knowing how many families are still waiting for justice. Hopefully, someone comes forward with information, or a fresh look at the evidence using modern tech can finally bring about some closure. It’s cases like Dwayne’s that remind us how vital community cooperation is in seeking justice for victims.
