Hi everyone, I've been following Norman Lewis's case, and it's just so unbelievably sad what his family must be going through. What's been really puzzling to me is the location of the shooting. The 1500 block of 80th Avenue in East Oakland has such a bad rep with all the violence, but does anyone know if there were any community efforts or programs in place back then to try to improve safety in that area? It seems like similar incidents were happening all too often, and I'm wondering if anything has changed since then. Sending thoughts to Norman's loved ones during this difficult time.
