I’ve been following the case of Martha Campuzano Cisneros, and it’s absolutely tragic. One thing that has really stuck with me is how close-knit the Raleigh community was and how deeply affected they’ve been by this loss. Martha’s friends and neighbors have described her as such a warm, loving presence—always willing to lend a helping hand or share a smile. It sounds like she was one of those people who really brought everyone together. I can’t stop thinking about the support networks that are available (or sometimes not) for people in situations like hers. It’s clear that domestic violence can happen anywhere, and it's so crucial for communities to have resources and support systems in place. I hope that, in the wake of Martha’s tragic passing, there’s more focus on creating safe spaces and providing help for those who need it. For those of you in Raleigh or communities that have experienced something similar, what steps have been most effective in building awareness and support around these issues?
