I'm really struggling to wrap my head around the reality of Dalton's last moments. It's devastating to think about how the fight escalated so quickly, and how a young life was completely cut short. The detail that gets me every time is Dalton trying to get away in his car, only to end up in that ditch. It's like a scene straight out of a nightmare. I cannot imagine the panic and pain he must have felt. My heart goes out to his family and friends—it must be incredibly difficult to deal with such an immense loss and the way it happened. It really makes you think about how arguments can spiral and the importance of de-escalating tense situations before they end in tragedy.
