I’ve been thinking a lot about how the community gathered after De’Angelo's tragic passing. It’s really powerful to see so many people come together to honor his memory and support his family during such a difficult time. I didn’t know him personally, but attending one of the vigils really opened my eyes to the impact he had on those around him. It's clear he was loved by many, and his absence is felt deeply. The vigils were not only a testament to the love people had for De’Angelo but also highlighted the urgency for addressing the gun violence plaguing our communities. It was moving to hear people share their stories and talk about what can be done to prevent this kind of loss in the future. It makes you think about the different roles we can all play in pushing for change. My heart goes out to everyone affected, and I hope that by keeping his memory alive, we can push towards a safer future for coming generations. It’s just so important that we don’t let these conversations die down.
