Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about Gary Ingram’s case lately, and I can't help but feel for his family as they wait for answers. I came across the Detroit Police Department's Cold Case webpage that was set up back in 2019, and it seems like a great initiative. It’s tough to imagine having to rely on hope and community tips to find the justice they deserve. I read that the Cold Case Unit is using more advanced forensic technologies now, which is promising. But with so many cases left unsolved, it feels like a monumental task for them. What can we, as a community, do to support efforts like these? I keep thinking about how each unsolved case represents not just statistics but real people, like Gary, whose stories are unfinished. Any thoughts on how we can help turn the tide on these long-standing unsolved cases? Also, if anyone else has info on Gary's case or any ideas on how to lift the silence from these reluctant witnesses, it would be great to hear. Let's keep discussing ways to bring justice to families who need it the most. Thanks for reading. My thoughts are with Gary’s family and all others in similar situations.
