I've been thinking about Alexandra King and how she was known in Asheville for her kindness and passion for sports. It’s haunting to consider how such a vibrant young woman, with so much potential and positivity, could have her life cut short like that. I remember reading about the work she did with kids' sports leagues and how much she wanted to be a coach. It’s just devastating to think about those children losing a role model and mentor in such a violent way. Her dedication to her community should not be overshadowed by the tragedy of her death. My heart truly goes out to her family and friends who lost such an incredible person. In a world that can often seem so dark, she was definitely one of the bright lights, and her legacy should be about the positive impact she had on those around her.
