Reading about Melissa Mitchell McLain and her daughter Ashley's tragic end has been deeply unsettling. I can't stop thinking about the fact that Miller asked a friend to call for a welfare check. It almost seems like a moment of conscience, a sliver of regret, if you can even call it that, before he went through with such a horrific act. It's hard to wrap my head around the complexity of human emotions in these situations. Was it a cry for help, or just guilt? My heart goes out to Caitlin, who now has to navigate life without her mom and sister. I hope the ongoing investigation brings some answers, and the family finds a way to heal as best as they can.
I’ve been thinking a lot about the guns found at Melissa and Ashley's home. Like, 46 firearms is an alarming amount for anyone to have, especially when there's no apparent history of domestic violence calls to link it to. Did anyone else find this concerning? I can’t help but wonder if there’s a deeper backstory we’re not seeing yet. It’s chilling to think that such an arsenal was present, and no one sounded the alarm. It just makes the whole situation feel even more tragic. I’m hoping answers and justice come soon for Melissa’s family. My heart goes out to Caitlin and everyone who loved them. They deserve peace and clarity.
