I've been following the Dewayne Greer Jr. and Sr. case for a while now, and something about the plea deal bothers me deeply. I can't understand how someone can take two lives and end up with a sentence of just 20 to 25 years. Has anyone else thought about how this sends the wrong message about the value of life? I'm trying to wrap my head around the justice system allowing a plea like this. It's deeply unsettling, especially considering the family has already lost so much. Sending thoughts to Alice and the rest of their family as they continue to navigate this difficult time.
