Has anyone thought about the items Cody Smith brought with him that night? The fact that he had a backpack full of things like rope, duct tape, and matches is incredibly chilling. It's hard to imagine what must have been going through his mind. My heart goes out to Gregory Pearce's family who has to cope with this unimaginable loss and to Monica Smith, who found herself in such a terrifying situation. I'm relieved she acted in self-defense and wasn't charged, but trying to process such a horrific event must still be so difficult for her. It's just devastating for everyone involved, especially the children who must now cope with the loss of their father.
