Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking a lot about the impact that gun violence has on communities, especially regarding the tragic case of Acara Goldsmith. What struck me was the location of the incident—Barbara Jane Avenue. It's unsettling to imagine such violence in what should be a safe, familiar neighborhood. For folks living around there or with any connections to the area, how has this affected your sense of safety? I’ve read that this was the 22nd homicide in Winston-Salem for 2016, which seems incredibly high and concerning. It really makes you think about the ongoing challenges the city faces and how these incidents ripple through families and communities. Sending thoughts to Acara's loved ones as they navigate these difficult times. Anyone with tips or information, however small it might seem, please consider reaching out to the authorities. Maybe together, we can aid in finding some closure. Stay safe, everyone.
