Has anyone here been following the Zachary Finch case from 2017? I just came across it, and the more I read, the more I'm struck by the impact his death must have had on his college community in Kentucky. From all accounts, Zachary was really involved with his team at the University of the Cumberlands and was apparently quite the talented player. It’s so tragic to think about how much he could have contributed both on and off the field had things turned out differently. I can only imagine how his teammates and friends felt when they got the news—going from playing alongside him to attending a memorial must have been incredibly tough. Situations like these always leave me thinking about the broader implications for campus safety and how colleges support students who are dealing with sudden loss. It’s heartbreaking on so many levels, and I hope his family and friends have found some measure of peace with time. Thoughts are definitely with everyone who knew him.
