I've been thinking a lot about how Dwayne Weathers was just sitting in his car that evening, having what seemed to be a normal conversation, only to have things take such a tragic turn. It's unsettling to realize how quickly life can change in an instant, and my heart goes out to his family and friends who are still left without answers after all these years.
It's been over nine years, and still no arrests. I can't help but wonder if there were more witnesses that night who might have seen something that seemed insignificant at the time but could actually be key to solving this case.
The Detroit PD has its hands full with so many cases like Dwayne’s, and it's frustrating to see how the sheer volume of cold cases can leave families in limbo. I really hope that new technology or someone coming forward with fresh information could finally provide the break needed in Dwayne’s case.
For those who haven’t already, if you were around Prest Street that night or know anyone who might have been, please think back. Even the smallest detail could make a huge difference. Let's keep talking about Dwayne, keeping his memory alive, and supporting his loved ones until there’s justice.
Hey everyone,
I recently came across a detail about Dwayne Weathers' case that keeps bugging me. It's the location where it happened—Prest Street between Joy Road and McKenzie Street. For those familiar with the area, does it spark any memories or incidents that stand out around that time? I know late-night activity is not unusual in that neighborhood, but maybe someone saw or heard something odd back then and brushed it off as nothing.
Also, was there ever any mention of security cameras or businesses nearby that might have caught something? It feels like if we keep revisiting the scene, there might be someone who remembers or sees something they initially overlooked. For Dwayne's family, any small detail could be pivotal. We just need that one piece of the puzzle.
Sending strength and hope that one day, justice will be served. ?
