Hi everyone, I've been following Kiajuan Black's case and wanted to bring up something that hasn't been discussed much: the role of the community in these types of investigations. It's just so frustrating to know how many cases like Kiajuan's remain unsolved in Detroit. I keep thinking about how essential it is for the community to feel safe enough to come forward with information. In areas where trust in law enforcement is shaky, getting people to speak up can be incredibly challenging. So I was wondering, does anyone know if there have been successful community initiatives or collaborations between locals and the police in these circumstances? What has worked elsewhere? Maybe we could discuss ways to help bridge that gap in places still struggling, like Detroit. I'd love to hear any thoughts or ideas. Sending my heartfelt sympathies to Kiajuan's family and friends. They deserve answers, and it's just an awful thing to endure. Let's hope that someday soon, there'll be more justice for Kiajuan and all the others who don't deserve to be forgotten.
