I’ve been following Robert Jacob Stewart's case and can't stop thinking about the role addiction played in this tragedy. It’s so sad to see how methamphetamine can fundamentally change people, even turning friends into enemies in a split second. I wonder if there were signs before that night that things could get violent between Robert and McElrath because of their drug use. It’s such a shame that Robert’s family has to endure this pain, losing someone they love to such a senseless act. I truly hope that awareness of these issues increases so we can prevent other families from enduring this kind of loss. My thoughts are with his family and friends during this incredibly difficult time. Is there a way the community can rally together to support them or raise awareness about the impact of drugs and gun violence?
