I’ve been following this case and can’t stop thinking about the shock the community must have felt after the incident at Camelot Village Apartments. A close-knit place like Chapel Hill must have been rattled seeing such violence hit so close to home. I can’t even imagine what Mark’s family and friends are going through. It’s encouraging to see law enforcement acted swiftly, but it’s still so sad realizing that such tactics and response are even necessary. I wonder how Mark’s family is coping now and if they feel at peace with how everything was handled. It’s a stark reminder of how important community safety is and how quickly life can change.
