It's been a few years since Mirah's tragic passing, and I still find myself thinking about the baffling nature of this case. One aspect that stands out to me is the time of the home invasion. Why 2 a.m.? The cover of darkness is one thing, but it also suggests a level of comfort or audacity that the intruders felt in approaching a home at such a vulnerable hour. It makes me wonder if there was more behind the choice of timing. Were they perhaps motivated by the hope that everyone inside would be too groggy to react quickly? Or was there another reason linked to the earlier shooting mentioned in reports?
Anyone familiar with similar cases or has input on why these types of crimes often happen at these late hours? My thoughts go out to Mirah’s family—they’ve endured more than anyone should have to bear. Here's hoping for continued progress in the case so those involved face full accountability.
