Did anyone else hear about the connection between the music Derrick was involved in and the events of that night? It's so devastating to think that his passion, which brought so much joy to those around him, might have had some unexpected link to the violence. It's just so hard to wrap my head around the loss this has brought to his family, particularly his young sons. Derrick's music was an outlet not only for himself but for others in the community—it's a shame it possibly played a role in the events of that tragic night. I hope the police can shed some light on this angle as they continue their investigation. Keeping the Williams family in my thoughts.
