I’ve been following this case from the beginning, and it’s incredibly tough to wrap my head around the tragic impact it has had on the children involved. Two young lives changed forever, witnessing something they should never have seen. I can’t imagine how traumatizing it must be for them or how the family will manage to help them heal. I truly hope they are surrounded by love and support during this difficult time.
I haven't seen much discussed regarding the support system (or lack thereof) for the children post-tragedy. Does anyone know if there are any charities or local groups in the Hickory area stepping in to assist them? It would be comforting to know they’re getting some sort of counseling or help. If anyone has info on ways to contribute or assist these kids in dealing with what they’ve witnessed, please share.
