It's really hard to understand how such senseless acts of violence continue to happen. I’ve been following Jonathan Lamont Johnson’s case for a while now, and it’s unsettling that there's still no closure. My thoughts are with his family, especially his mother, Susan Odom. I can’t even begin to imagine the pain of losing her son and having to hear about these tragic circumstances over and over again without any justice being served.

It’s inspiring to see their strength and dedication in tackling the epidemic of gun violence despite their personal grief. Jonathan and the other man were just sitting in their vehicle, and then their lives changed forever. It could've happened to anyone.
