I've been following the tragic case of Andres Moscotte and one detail I'm really struggling to come to terms with is how incredibly scary it must have been for his girlfriend that night. To hear an altercation and then make that split-second decision to lock herself in a bedroom must have been terrifying. I can't even imagine the fear and helplessness she felt as she waited for those intruders to leave, wondering about Andres. It's hard not to think about the emotional impact this has had on her life since then. I truly hope she's found some form of support and has been able to heal, even if just a little, from witnessing such a devastating event. It's a poignant reminder of how loved ones are often secondary victims in these tragedies.

Has anyone else been following the trial of Stephen Razelle Staples? I’m relieved that he finally pleaded guilty, but it’s hard to wrap my head around the fact that something so senseless happened to Andres. From what I’ve read, Andres was just stepping outside his own home when his life was unjustly taken from him. It's terrifying to think how quickly a normal evening can turn into a nightmare. I hope this conviction provides some comfort to Andres's loved ones, knowing that those responsible for his death are being held accountable. This case definitely underscores how important it is for these thorough investigations to occur. Sending thoughts to everyone affected by this tragedy.
