I've been following the tragic case of the Clarkton shootings, and I can't stop thinking about the survivor, Hazel Epps. After something so horrific, I can't imagine what she's going through. Being the only survivor must be incredibly isolating and traumatic. It's a heavy responsibility, not only dealing with the loss of those around you but also being a key witness in such a distressing event. I hope she has a strong support system to help navigate the aftermath of this tragedy. It’s important we remember that she's not just a witness but a survivor who will need time and care to heal. So often, in these cases, the focus shifts to the legal proceedings and details of the crime, and we can forget about the long-term impacts on those who lived through it. Hazel's story is a reminder that while justice is crucial, the survivors need empathy and support as they move forward. My thoughts are with her and the loved ones of all involved.

Does anyone else find it chilling that the suspect, Taurean Reshaul Johnson, actually turned himself in to the authorities? It’s hard to fathom what was going through his mind after such a horrific event. Having a suspect surrender might suggest some level of remorse, but in the end, it doesn't change what happened or bring back the lives that were lost. I can’t stop thinking about the families of Ronnie, Katrice, and Guy—the pain they must be enduring is unimaginable. And Hazel, the sole survivor, how does one even begin to heal from something like this? The whole community of Clarkton must be reeling from this tragedy. I hope they find some peace, and that justice is served.
