I've been following the Corey Lee Gentry case and I'm really struck by the timing of when all this unfolded. Having the investigation kick off just as the COVID-19 pandemic hit must have been incredibly difficult for everyone involved. It's hard to imagine the additional stress and delay this brought to Corey's family, who were waiting for justice for over a year. The fact that the District Attorney's Office and investigators pushed through these challenges to move the case forward is commendable. It seems like a small bright spot in an otherwise dark situation. My heart goes out to Gentry's family and friends who have had to endure so much in such uncertain times. I hope they find some sense of peace as they continue to heal from this tragedy.

I can't stop thinking about how Corey's family must have felt during the court proceedings, especially with everything being so delayed due to the pandemic. It must have been incredibly difficult for them to wait so long for any kind of resolution, not to mention having to come to grips with the tragedy itself. These kinds of delays just add another layer of suffering, and my heart truly goes out to them. That said, I'm a bit curious about how cases like this were managed during such an unprecedented time. It seems like the DA's office did what they could given the circumstances, but I can't imagine the strain of trying to bring a case like this to justice with all the restrictions they faced. It really makes you appreciate the hard work that goes on behind the scenes to try and deliver justice where it’s desperately needed. I hope Corey’s family finds some measure of peace knowing that his killer has been held accountable.
