I've been following Daniel Dale Lambert's case and can't stop thinking about that map of the Mark Twain National Forest he left behind. It's such a vast and rugged place, and it kind of feels like looking for a needle in a haystack. Does anyone know if there were any particular destinations marked or notes on the map that suggested where he might have intended to go? It seems strange for someone to leave behind a map unless they had specific plans or places in mind. I wonder if there are areas within the forest that haven't been thoroughly searched yet. Maybe someone with local knowledge of the forest could weigh in?
