I've been following the case of little Brielle Kennedy, and I can't stop thinking about how much strength it must take for her siblings and mom, Michelle, to cope with this unimaginable loss. Losing such a young soul in such a violent way must have turned their whole world upside down. I noticed that some folks have raised memorials for Family Services for Children in Lexington, which seems like a heartfelt way to channel grief into something positive. It’s a small comfort in the face of such deep sorrow, but I hope these efforts help, even just a bit, in keeping Brielle’s memory alive in the community. Sending love and light to everyone involved.

I can’t stop thinking about how devastating this must be for Brielle’s mother, Michelle Leigh Rush Atkins. The whole situation surrounding the murder of her daughter Brielle is just unimaginable. It’s hard enough to lose a child, but in such a violent and heartbreaking way? I can’t even wrap my head around it. Michelle not only has to grieve the loss of her little girl but also deal with the actions of Brielle's father. It’s difficult to make sense of how someone could do this to an innocent child. I really hope that the community in Lexington continues to support Michelle and her family during this unimaginable time. This case is such a stark reminder of how important it is to address domestic violence and mental health issues before they reach this kind of tragedy. If anyone knows of any local resources or ways to help, please share. My heart goes out to the entire family.
