Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking about the people who knew Johnny Grice, especially his family, during this unimaginable time. It’s hard to fathom what it's like to lose someone so suddenly to such senseless violence. I wanted to talk a little about the location where this tragic event occurred—the Lumberton Quick Check on E. 5th Street. I've driven by there a few times and always thought it was a quiet spot, mostly where locals stop by for essentials. It's shocking to imagine something so horrific could happen there. I'm curious if this area has seen similar incidents or if this was completely out of the blue. If anyone is familiar with the place, did you notice anything unusual leading up to that night? Or does anyone have any thoughts on how the community can come together to support Johnny’s family and prevent future tragedies? Sending all my thoughts to those affected.

I was just reading up on Johnny Ausbon Grice, Jr.'s case, and my heart goes out to his family. I can't even begin to imagine what they're going through. I wanted to point out something that's been bugging me about the shooting at the Quick Check. The store’s location at that hour must have been pretty silent, yet close to the highway. Could it be that someone from out of town was involved, or maybe it was just bad timing with someone passing through? I also wonder if any surveillance cameras from nearby businesses or traffic cameras got a glimpse of anything suspicious that night. It just seems so strange that there haven’t been any leads or suspects announced after all this time. I hope anyone with any tiny piece of info comes forward. Johnny and his family deserve answers and some semblance of peace.

I've been following the case of Johnny Ausbon Grice, Jr., and something about the location of the shooting really stands out to me. The incident at the Quick Check convenience store at 12:07 a.m. seems unusual. Besides being a tragic loss, the timing and location are puzzling. Considering how the store could have regular traffic even late at night, there might've been other witnesses who unknowingly missed vital details. It’s hard to imagine such violence unfolding at a place that's usually just a stop for snacks or gas. If anyone in the area might recall anything from that night, no matter how small, it could make a difference. A car passing by, someone seen standing nearby—it all adds up. I can't even begin to comprehend how Johnny's family and friends are coping, but staying hopeful for answers and justice seems like the best way to honor his memory. Always keeping them in my thoughts. Let's hope, with some community help, the police can get to the bottom of this and provide some closure.
