Has anyone looked into how the local community organizations that were active in Detroit around 2015 have evolved since Jerrell Weathers' murder? I've read that more efforts were being put into community engagement and violence prevention, but I'm curious about what specific initiatives were introduced back then and if they're still active today. It seems like these organizations might have played a crucial role in addressing the uptick in violent crimes during that time. It breaks my heart to think how each unsolved case, like Jerrell's, impacts families and communities. I really hope continued efforts by these groups are making a difference in reducing violence. It's frustrating when justice is delayed, but seeing communities come together can offer a glimpsé of hope. Anyone from Detroit on here who can shed more light on this?
