Has anyone looked into whether Mauro had any favorite spots along the Eagle Pass Arroyo? It's possible he might have sought shelter in a familiar place during the storm, thinking it was safe. I used to live in the area, and there are several old structures and trails that aren't well-known to people who haven't lived there for a long time. Perhaps someone with local knowledge might have an idea about where he could have gone. It's vital to consider every possibility when someone's been missing for so long, especially with such dangerous weather conditions that day. Does anyone here have any information about places an older resident might have been drawn to?

Hey everyone, I've been following the case of Mauro Regino Hernandez, the elderly man who went missing during that terrible storm in Eagle Pass back in 2015. Something that’s been on my mind is the role of the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) system in cases like this. Does anyone know how effective it is when someone is registered as missing in the system? I imagine it helps keep the case in the spotlight and updates other agencies, but I wonder how proactive it is in sparking leads or if it mainly relies on new information getting submitted. It seems like an important tool in the search, yet Mauro's disappearance is still unsolved after all these years. Would love to hear any insights or experiences with how the NCIC has helped in similar cases!

Hey everyone, I keep thinking about Mauro Regino Hernandez's case. What's been haunting me is the fact that he disappeared during such a severe storm back in October 2015. I know there was speculation about the swift water currents near the Eagle Pass Arroyo possibly sweeping him away, but what do you all think about how the storm might have played a role beyond just that? I mean, could the heavy rainfall have created temporary conditions in other areas that might not have been considered dangerous spots before? I’m curious if any locals remember unusual flooding or any other strange occurrences during that storm that might have provided some clues. If anyone was around Eagle Pass at that time, maybe check back through old photos or weather reports to see if something might have been overlooked. It feels like any small detail might help shed some light on what happened to him that night. Would love to hear your thoughts or any stories you might have from that time. Let’s hope more information surfaces soon.
