I just came across the unsolved case of Harry Ramos from 2015, and it really got me thinking about the challenges communities face with these tragic incidents. It's so distressing to imagine the pain his family and friends must endure every day knowing his killer is still out there. One aspect that stands out to me is the role that community cooperation plays in solving such cases. I understand why some might be hesitant to come forward, scare of retribution or simply mistrusting law enforcement, but it seems like community involvement could make such a huge difference. Detroit's Crime Stoppers offers anonymity for tips, which could help ease some fears. I can only hope that as trust builds, more people will feel empowered to share what they know, however small it might seem. Every piece of information could potentially be the key to justice for Harry and others like him. It's important that we encourage and support those efforts, for the sake of the victims and for the city's future.
