Does anyone have any thoughts on the impact of the pandemic on crime patterns in Charlotte around the time Robert Darby was killed? It seems his business was in a location that had been closed due to the pandemic. Could the shutdowns have influenced criminal activity in the area somehow, leading to more crimes of opportunity? I find it really troubling that no suspect has been identified after all this time, and I'm sure his family just wants answers. It makes me wonder about other unsolved cases in similar circumstances during that period. Anyone else notice something similar in their communities, or maybe have insights into trends police might have been observing back then?
