Has anyone dug deep into who might have sent that sketchy telegram supposedly from William Patterson? The fact that it was sent from Dallas rather than El Paso seems super deliberate, like someone wanted to create distance from where they actually disappeared. And messing up the middle initial is a pretty basic mistake if someone was truly trying to impersonate him. Could this be a red herring to mislead the investigation? Maybe pointing investigators in another direction while something more sinister happened? I feel like this detail might have been overlooked back in the day. Would love to hear anyone’s thoughts or theories on this angle!
Did anyone else find it odd how the initial investigations didn’t seem to catch the wrong initial on that telegram sent to William’s accountant? I’m no detective, but if I were just learning about this case, that seems like a glaring red flag. Also, why would someone who planned to disappear intentionally make such an obvious mistake, unless it was meant to mislead?
I’ve been mulling over the Reynaldo Nangaray claims as well. If he really did find blood and a piece of human scalp, wouldn’t that have been a smoking gun at the time? Was it ever properly investigated, or did it just fade into the background over the years? I can’t help but think about how different forensic science was back then. Maybe what they found wasn't conclusive or convincing enough at the time, but would today’s technology have made a difference in verifying those findings? ?
Where do you think we go from here with so many loose ends?
Does anyone else find the role of Reynaldo Nangaray in the Patterson case intriguing? I’ve been deep-diving into this mystery, and his claim about finding blood and a piece of human scalp in William’s garage more than two decades after the Pattersons vanished is puzzling. Why did it take him so long to come forward with such critical information? Was it a mere oversight, or was there something more to it? Also, has anyone found any additional information on the validity of his claims or why it was never fully verified? This case has so many layers and twists that it’s hard to know what’s genuine and what’s not. I'd love to hear some thoughts or additional insights from anyone who's looked into this or has more local knowledge.
