Does anyone else find it incredibly frustrating how many unsolved cases there are in cities like Detroit? Osean Lockett was just 19 and had his whole life ahead of him when he was so brutally taken away. It’s deeply troubling to think about the pain and struggle his family, especially his mother, Brenda Burton, must be enduring while waiting for justice. It makes you wonder about the system and why cases like Osean’s seem to fall through the cracks so often. I noticed that there has been some traction with Michael Ferguson being implicated, but what’s taking so long to bring him to justice? What else has to be done to make sure Osean and others like him aren’t forgotten? It feels like the community has to keep pushing to get the attention these tragedies deserve. My heart goes out to the family and everyone who cared for Osean. Stay strong!
Hey everyone, I've been following Osean Lockett's case since I first heard about it, and I wanted to share something that's been on my mind. While it's absolutely devastating what Brenda Burton and her family are going through, I’m struck by how powerful the community's response has been.
The rallies and vigils organized to honor Osean show how deeply he touched those around him, even beyond his immediate circle. It's incredible to see people come together to demand justice not just for Osean but for all victims of violence in Detroit. This unity in his memory is such a testament to his impact on others.
Does anyone know if there are more upcoming events planned to raise awareness or support the family? I think it's so important for us to stay involved and keep pushing for answers. Sending love and strength to Osean's family and everyone advocating for justice in his name.
