It's baffling that after all these years, there's still no trace of Lynne Brown. I keep coming back to the detail about the receipt for the .38 caliber revolver found in her car. Who keeps a receipt like that unless they might need to return or prove ownership of the gun later? It's odd, considering her circumstances and the tragic outcome with her children.
Another thing that stands out is the fact that an arrest warrant was only issued in 2006. Could crucial evidence or a witness have come to light that late? And how does someone vanish so completely off the grid in today's world? I wonder if Lynne might have had a support network that helped her disappear back then.
For anyone who might have been in the Estacada area around 1975 or might have known Lynne and her children, any little memory or piece of information could be crucial in finally figuring out what happened. Maybe someone out there knows something without realizing its importance.
It struck me as odd that Lynne's car was left at McIver Park with such incriminating evidence: shell casings and that receipt for a .38 caliber revolver. I mean, wouldn't you think that if someone was planning something so horrific, they’d try to cover their tracks a bit better? Leaving behind items that directly link to the crime seems careless or maybe even intentional. Was she hoping someone would find that car right away? Or does this suggest she didn't plan on going into hiding at all afterward? I can’t help but ponder if someone else was involved and wanted to frame her. There’s so much speculation swirling around this case and not enough hard facts. Anyone have any thoughts on why the car was left in such a blatant way?
I recently stumbled upon Lynne Brown’s case and can't shake the chills whenever I think about it. One detail that really stands out to me is the receipt for the .38 caliber revolver found in her car. It seems like such a major oversight—even if she had a lapse or breakdown, why keep the receipt with her? Was it meant as some sort of message or was it simply forgotten in a rushed moment? Also, what about the serial number on the receipt? Did law enforcement look into who made that purchase and whether it was her directly or if someone else might have influenced her or used her identity? It feels like digging deeper into that purchase might reveal some overlooked connections or give clues on her state of mind back then. Anyone with more insight or theories about this angle?
