I've been following Ah'Miyahh's case, and while every aspect is just so tragic, I've been thinking a lot about Ah'Miyahh's cousin, Tariq. I can't imagine the trauma he must be dealing with. One moment he's playing outside, and the next his whole world changes in an unimaginable way. It’s horrifying to think that a child so young has to process such a violent and senseless act. I hope he’s receiving all the love and support possible from his family and the community. These young lives are forever altered, and I just hope folks rally around him and Ah'Miyahh's family to provide some measure of comfort and care. This ripple effect of violence reaches far beyond just the immediate victim, and it’s a stark reminder of why communities need to come together to protect their most vulnerable.
