I've been thinking a lot about Jaquan "Bigboy" White's bravery in those final moments. It's incredibly moving to hear how, despite being fatally wounded, he tried to protect little Allura Pledger during the shooting. This speaks volumes about his character, especially for someone so young. It breaks my heart to imagine the fear and chaos they all experienced, yet here was Jaquan, only 18, trying to shield a 3-year-old. His actions show a level of courage and selflessness that's truly extraordinary. It's a reminder of the person the community lost that day—a young man who clearly had a heart full of love and courage. It’s deeply upsetting to see such resilience and compassion extinguished by senseless violence. I hope the community rallies together to demand justice, not just for Jaquan, but for Takeyia and little Allura too. My thoughts are with their families as they navigate through this enormous grief. Please, if anyone knows anything that could help the investigation, come forward and help bring peace and justice for these families.
