It's incredibly difficult to fathom the loss that Takeyia De’Shay Berry's family and the entire community must be feeling right now. From what I've read, it sounds like she was an amazing person with so much love to give. It's absolutely tragic that she and young Allura, along with Jaquan, were taken so abruptly and violently. I’ve seen discussions arise about Roderick White possibly holding more knowledge about that dreadful night. While it's crucial for the investigation to unfold, we must remember the emotional turmoil everyone involved is enduring. If White knows more, let's hope he finds the courage to come forward not only for the sake of justice but also to offer some level of peace to the families. Sending strength and support to everyone touched by this terrible event, and hoping Elizabeth City continues to band together in search of answers and solutions to prevent further tragedies.

It’s just devastating to think about the pain Takeyia’s family must be going through. I can’t stop thinking about the small details like the shattered windshield and bullet holes everywhere—that’s pure chaos and terror. It makes me wonder if there are more witnesses out there who might have seen or heard something that night. You just never know what small piece of information could help bring justice and some level of peace to the families involved. I've been following the case and it's so frustrating that there seems to be a code of silence in these communities sometimes. I hope Roderick White can find the courage to fully cooperate with authorities if he hasn't already. It breaks my heart for little Allura, Jaquan, and their families. Seeing local groups like the Pasquotank NAACP stepping up is encouraging though. Together, maybe we can create enough pressure to ensure that Takeyia, her daughter, and Jaquan aren’t forgotten and that their killer is caught. We've got to keep talking about it and pushing for answers, in memory of all those innocent lives taken too soon.
