Does anyone remember seeing flyers or posters around Midwest City back in the late '70s for missing people? I’m curious if Lawrence Scott Colton’s family might have tried to spread word that way when he first went missing. It seems like a logical step, but I haven’t come across any mention of it in what little info I’ve found about his case. Flyers could’ve helped if he was trying to hitchhike to Florida. I've heard about old cases where sightings came from someone recognizing a face from a poster. Wondering if anyone here has seen similar cases solved through community efforts like that. ?️‍♀️ It’s tragic how quickly time passes and those small details get lost. Any thoughts or memories?
Hey everyone, I've been looking into the Lawrence Scott Colton case and found something that's been gnawing at me. Does anyone know if there have been any sightings of him on the hitchhiking routes between Midwest City and Florida? Given his tendency to travel between these places, I wonder if any truckers or regular drivers might have seen him or picked him up. It seems like a very long and unpredictable journey to make on foot, especially for someone who wasn't feeling well. Maybe reaching out to trucking or travel communities could spark some new leads? ? Just a thought I wanted to throw out there. Thoughts?
Has anyone here ever looked into Lawrence "Larry" Colton's connections with other veterans during his travels? Given his frequent visits to the VA Hospital in Gainesville, I can't help but wonder if he connected with fellow veterans who might have some insight into his whereabouts. It's been my experience that veterans form strong bonds—they might know something that hasn't been uncovered yet. If anyone has access to resources or communities focused on veteran cases, it might be worth checking out. Sometimes people just need to be approached the right way to share what they know. Thoughts?
