Hey everyone, I came across this case and was struck by something a bit puzzling about the area where they were last seen. Sawtooth Mountain, especially near Mile 86 on Elliot Highway, is rugged and pretty remote. I’m curious about the weather conditions in that region around the time they vanished. Does anyone have any insight or experience with what the climate is like there, especially for someone who might not be familiar with mountain terrain? I'm just wondering if weather might have played a role somehow. Thanks!

I was reading up on the Mile 86 disappearance and something caught my eye. The area around Sawtooth Mountain where they last saw the person is super rugged and desolate. I've been up that way before, and there aren't any real trails or paths to speak of. Just lots of dense forest and some pretty steep terrain. Anybody familiar with the region? Curious to know if anyone thinks the terrain itself might have played a role in the person going missing. Seems like once you’re off the main route, you could easily get lost or injured. Any local hikers or outdoorsy folks on here who can weigh in?
