It's so frustrating how cases like Gregory Georgantis and Albert Vigneau's just seem to stall out over the years. I've always wondered about the potential for witness tampering or fear of reprisal playing a role in why people aren't coming forward. It's common knowledge that organized crime can have a long reach, and I imagine those who might know something could still be scared into silence even decades later. Does anyone have insights on whether local authorities offered any protection programs for potential witnesses back in the '80s? It's just tragic that without bodies or more solid leads, families are left with so few answers.
I’ve been following the Georgantis case for a while, and something I've always wondered about is the role of organized crime in Warwick during the late '70s and early '80s. Given that both Gregory Georgantis and Albert Vigneau went missing on the same day in what was clearly a high-risk environment, it seems like there's more to the story that hasn't been uncovered yet. Were there any major players or events at that time that might provide more context for their disappearance? I know it's hard to get information with no physical evidence like bodies, but I think understanding the criminal landscape back then might give us more leads or at least a better picture of what really happened. Anyone have insights or theories about the organized crime scene in that area during that period?
