I've been following Shadae's case closely, and it deeply resonates with me not just because of the tragedy but because of the small glimpses into her life that we've learned about. One thing that stood out to me was Shadae having already bought a dress for her cousin's wedding. It just breaks my heart to think about it hanging in her closet, a symbol of all the moments and future plans that were stolen from her. I can't imagine the immense pain her family is going through, especially her cousin who must have been looking forward to celebrating such a special day with Shadae by her side. It's these personal touches and stories that make this so real and remind us of the vibrant, loving person Shadae was. I'm hoping that as the community rallies around this family, they find a little comfort in knowing that Shadae's spirit and smile are remembered by so many. If anyone has any ideas on how we can come together to support Nickie and the rest of Shadae's family, please do share. Justice for Shadae can't come soon enough, but in the meantime, let's make sure we're lifting up her family in any way we can.
