I've been following the case of Alexandra Faith Gillikin, and I can't stop thinking about the community's reaction. I live nearby, and it's been both heartwarming and deeply moving to see how everyone has come together in the wake of this tragedy. The vigils, the flowers left at the scene, and the messages of encouragement for Faith's family speak volumes about her impact on those around her. It's clear she was loved and admired, not just for her talents and accomplishments, but for the kindness she showed to others. Faith's dreams of expanding her career with that esthetics certificate from Cape Fear Community College were so close to being realized. It breaks my heart to know she'll never get the chance to celebrate that achievement. I hope the ongoing support helps her family through this unimaginably difficult time. Justice needs to prevail, but in the meantime, it's important for us to continue lifting each other up and remember the bright light Faith was in our community.
