Does anyone have more info on the person who reportedly gave Barbara Jean Baumann the blanket and hot drink the day she disappeared? I've always been curious about that encounter. Were they from the area or just passing through? Given the weather conditions, it's intriguing that they were prepared to offer help like that. It sounds like such a brief moment, yet it's one of the last known interactions she had. Anyone know if the authorities considered this person a witness or just a Good Samaritan? It's been so many years, and every tiny detail seems so important in piecing together what might have happened.
