I was reading about Wahid Downey's case and I can’t imagine the pain his family and friends are going through. It’s terrifying how such a young life with so much potential can be cut short so suddenly. I’ve been thinking about the location where it happened, near North Carolina Central University. With so many students and young people in that area, it raises big concerns about safety and what can be done to prevent similar incidents in the future. Has anyone heard updates on community efforts or discussions from the city council since this happened? I really hope something substantial comes from those initiatives they've been discussing. My thoughts are with Wahid’s loved ones during this incredibly tough time.
