I've been following the updates on Coryonna's tragic death, and one thing that's been on my mind is the impact of gun access among teens. It's incredibly alarming to think that a situation like this could arise just because a young person had a gun at their disposal. We need to seriously consider how firearms are secured and what measures are in place to prevent accidents like this from happening in the first place. I can’t imagine the pain Coryonna’s family must be going through. It must be so frustrating for them, knowing that a lack of oversight led to such a devastating loss. While it sounds like the boyfriend didn’t intend any harm, the fact that he had access to a gun is a huge concern. I truly hope that, moving forward, more conversations happen around gun safety, especially in homes with teenagers. Coryonna’s story is just so tragic, and we owe it to her to work towards preventing any similar incidents in the future.
