Hey everyone, I’ve been revisiting the tragic case of Jonathan “Caveman” Williams, and my heart goes out to his family and the students who were at John McDonogh High on that awful day. I can’t stop thinking about the students who were there during the shooting. Can you imagine the trauma of experiencing something so horrifying during gym class, of all places? It's just devastating to think about the panic and fear they must have felt, and I hope the three girls who were injured managed to heal both physically and emotionally. It must have been terrifying for the pregnant senior who got caught in the chaos too. I wonder what kind of support was provided to the students and faculty after the incident. These events deeply impact a community, and I hope measures were taken to help everyone involved. If anyone knows more about the aftermath and how the school and student body coped, I’d really love to hear about it. Keeping all those touched by this tragedy in my thoughts.

Did anyone else notice how much focus there was on the fences around John McDonogh High School? It's so unsettling to think that gaps in the perimeter were part of what allowed these perpetrators to get onto the campus with weapons. I can't imagine how terrifying it must have been for everyone there that day, especially with the chaos that followed. It's frustrating to think that if the school had better security measures in place, like a properly maintained fence or more attentive security, maybe Jonathan could have been saved—or at least the tragedy could have been lessened. Schools should be a safe haven for kids, not a place where they have to fear for their lives. Much love and strength to Jonathan's family and friends, as well as the entire community still healing from this. Being vigilant about safety measures in our schools is something we can all push for to honor Jonathan's memory and protect our children.

Hey everyone, I’ve been following the tragic case of Jonathan "Caveman" Williams, and I recently came across something that I find particularly concerning. It’s been years since this horrific event at John McDonogh High School, yet the gaps in the fence through which the attackers entered seem to have been overlooked. Isn’t it chilling to think that these breaches might have allowed such a violent act to take place? I understand schools can’t guarantee complete safety, but what kind of changes have been implemented to ensure such a tragedy doesn't happen again? Does anyone know if the school or district took steps to secure the campus more effectively after this incident? It seems to me that if any good can come from such a senseless loss, it’s ensuring other young lives are protected in the future. My heart goes out to Jonathan’s family and all those who were affected. They deserve answers and a community that actively works to prevent further violence.
