It's been over seven years since Ryan Jones was tragically taken from his loved ones, and it's hard not to feel frustrated about the lack of answers. I read somewhere that Detroit has an overwhelming number of unsolved homicides, and I understand it must be incredibly challenging for the police. Still, I can't help but think about Ryan's family and how they must be feeling after all this time. The establishment of the Cold Case Unit gives me some hope, especially with the advancements in forensic technology. I heard the unit sometimes revisits cases from the past with new DNA methods, and I wonder if they’ve had the chance to do this for Ryan. I hope they can revisit his case soon if they haven’t already. It’s encouraging to see initiatives like the cold case webpage and Crime Stoppers trying to engage the community more. Getting people to feel comfortable enough to come forward is crucial because someone out there might know something important about that night. Every little bit helps, and Ryan's family deserves closure. If anyone has any thoughts or ideas on how we can further support families like Ryan's, let's discuss them. It’s up to us as a community to keep these cases in the conversation.

I’ve been following Ryan Jones’s case for a while now, and I can’t stop thinking about how it reflects the broader struggles within Detroit. The cold case webpage set up by the city seemed like a promising tool, but I wonder how much attention it’s really getting from the public. Has anyone here ever heard of a case being solved because of tips gathered from that platform? It's so important to keep these resources in the spotlight, not only to aid the police but to remind folks that every unsolved case impacts real families. Ryan deserves justice, as do all the other unsolved victims. Maybe it's time for a community-led initiative to raise more awareness about these tools and encourage more people to come forward with information. Thoughts?
