Has anyone looked into whether James Lawrence Simmons might have sought assistance at local shelters or clinics in the San Francisco area around the time he disappeared? I know these places sometimes keep records or might remember someone matching his description, especially with his unique physical characteristics. That could potentially help narrow down his last known location. It's also possible that someone there may have known him or seen him around November 1987. Just a thought!

Hey everyone, I recently stumbled upon the case of James Lawrence Simmons from the late '80s, and I can't stop thinking about how difficult it must have been for him to navigate life with those injuries while living on the streets. A crippled left arm, missing tooth, and that tattoo on his right hand—all these unique features, yet it's like he vanished without a trace! Do you think it could have been a case of someone taking advantage of his vulnerable situation, or maybe a carer or social worker who might have last seen him just hasn't stepped forward? Anyone else here familiar with the areas around Sacramento and San Francisco during that time? Any small thing could be crucial even after all these years. It seems almost impossible he didn't cross paths with someone who might’ve remembered him. Thoughts?
