Has anyone else been following the tragic case of Lernard Hurst? I've been thinking a lot about how the community rallied around his family and how powerful it was to see so many people come together during such a difficult time. It's both comforting and saddening to witness. Comforting because it’s clear Lernard meant a lot to people, and saddening because it highlights a young life lost far too soon. I attended the vigil, and the number of heartfelt stories shared about Lernard was truly touching. You could feel the love and how much joy he brought to those around him. I remember one of his teachers talking about his infectious smile and how he always helped others. It breaks my heart to think that his kindness and potential were just taken away in an instant. Does anyone know if there’s been any progress in the investigation? I haven’t seen much in the news, and it worries me that the case might not get the attention it needs. If anyone has updates or ways we can support his family further, please share. They deserve answers and peace.

I've been thinking a lot about the sound of gunshots and how haunting it must have been for Lernard's family. To be at home, a place where you should feel the safest, and experience something so horrific is beyond comprehension. It’s a tragedy for any family to endure, and I can’t help but imagine how life-altering that moment was for them. The ripple effects of such violence affect not just the immediate family but the entire community. It feels like the system has let so many down when young lives like Lernard’s are lost, and there's seemingly no justice or answers. I hope they find peace and some sense of closure one day. My heart goes out to everyone who loved him.
