I came across the details of Deron Rashad Hitchens Sr.'s case, and my heart goes out to the Hitchens family. It’s just unimaginable to think about the pain they're enduring after losing not one, but two sons to such senseless violence. I've been trying to wrap my head around how a night that should have been filled with music and joy turned into such a tragedy. I am particularly struck by how Deron was found in a car, shot multiple times. It makes me think about who might have been with him or seen something that night. It's troubling that despite being there in a location with potentially many witnesses, no suspects have been identified. New Orleans is a lively city, especially around Mardi Gras, and it's hard to believe nobody saw or heard anything that could help the family find some closure. I hope that anyone who attended the event and might have even the smallest bit of information will come forward. Deron’s family deserves answers, and the Hitchens' deserve justice. If anyone on here knows anything or has any theories, please don't hold back. Every little piece could be vital to piecing together what really happened that night. We all need to rally together to ensure that Deron’s story doesn’t fade away.

I've been thinking a lot about the safety at public events after hearing about Deron Hitchens Sr. and how senselessly he lost his life at what should have been a night of music and joy. It’s incredibly sad to realize that even places meant for celebration can turn dangerous so quickly. Deron seemed like such an amazing person, from everything his family and friends have shared—his zest for life and the love he spread wherever he went. It’s a shame that we're still talking about cases like his, with no answers and no justice for his family. It's hard to imagine how they must feel, especially with this being the second time the Hitchens have faced such a tragedy. I really hope someone comes forward with information soon, so there can be some closure for everyone who knew and loved him. If you're in New Orleans, or have connections there, please spread the word. These families deserve answers.
