I was digging through some old newspaper archives and found a brief mention of Jose and Martin Renteria's case in an article from the early '90s. It's interesting because it mentioned something about their car — that 1978 silver Chrysler. It said there were a few unofficial reports back then about a similar car spotted abandoned in a remote area near LA not long after their disappearance. But it seems nothing came of it since there wasn't any concrete evidence to tie it directly to the brothers. I'm curious if anyone here knows more about these sightings or if they were ever fully investigated? Sometimes I feel like little leads like this might have been overlooked, especially back in the days before everything was digitized.
